Connecting To A Speaker

Modified on Tue, 2 Jul at 1:35 PM

Bluetooth

Use the app with your favourite Bluetooth speakers, headphones, or even your car's audio system.

All you need is:

  • The NTS Radio app downloaded on your Bluetooth-enabled device

  • A Bluetooth speaker, headphone, or car stereo

Get connected:

  1. Turn on Bluetooth: Make sure Bluetooth is activated on both your phone (or device) and your speaker/headphones/car stereo

  2. Pair the Devices: Head to the Bluetooth settings on your phone (or device) and find the speaker/headphones/car stereo. Initiate pairing according to the instructions. Once paired, they should remember each other for future use.

AirPlay / Apple TV / Sonos

In the iOS app, you can connect to a device using AirPlay by going to My NTS > Account > Settings > Connect to Speaker Via Airplay.

Make sure your device is AirPlay compatible, has AirPlay enabled, and is on the same wifi network as your phone.

Chromecast / Google Home

We currently don’t offer Chromecast or Google Home integration within the app. We understand this might be a limitation, and we’re always looking for ways to improve the app's functionality.

While we don’t support Chromecast or Google Home casting at this time, you can still enjoy the app on your device. You can also cast music from your device from any app using the Google Home application.

We’re actively working on expanding our features, and Chromecast/Google Home integration is definitely something we’re considering for future updates. Stay tuned!

CarPlay / Android Auto

NTS app is available on CarPlay. Just search for 'NTS Radio' on the App Store.

We don’t have a dedicated Android Auto app yet, stay tuned for future updates.
