Explore by Mood or Genre

You can explore all tens of thousands of shows in our Archive with the help of our filters. 

• Web: Go to the Explore page to see Mood and Genre filters
• Apps: Go to the Discover page from the bottom navigation, then to the Latest tab, and select Explore by Genres to open up the filters

Explore by Mood

Select Moods to find 10 curated playlists. Select any to see all our episodes that match that mood, and dive straight in. 

Explore by Genre

Select Genres to find a large list of primary and secondary genre tags. Select any to see all our archived episodes tagged with that genre.

Tip: You can combine searching by multiple genre tags and a mood simultaneously, to find more personalised results. 

Music Only and Focused Filters

As an NTS Supporter, you’ll also have access to some other handy ways to explore the archive which you can find alongside the Mood and Genre filters.  

The Music Only filter does what it says on the tin. It will only show you episodes without any talk.

The Focused filter helps you to hone into one particular genre. By default, when you select genre tags, the list will show you all episodes that have at least those tags but they may also have additional tags. With the Focused filter on, the list will show you episodes that only have those tags, allowing you to dig deeper into particular styles.
